Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are solely responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and current, and you are responsible for keeping it so.

Crew is currently invite-only and offered on a limited, early-access basis. Access may be granted, limited, suspended, or withdrawn at our sole discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you post (profile information, work, images, text, links, credits, messages, and the like) ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and your conduct on the Platform.

You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to post your User Content, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law. You are responsible for obtaining any consents required (including from people depicted, collaborators, and clients) before posting.

You grant Crew a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. This licence continues for content that is public or shared, and for backups and records, even after you remove it or close your account, to the extent reasonably required.

You agree not to, and not to enable others to:

• post false, misleading, infringing, unlawful, or harmful content, or claim credits or work that are not yours;
• harass, abuse, impersonate, or harm any person;
• scrape, harvest, or copy data from the Platform except as we expressly permit;
• interfere with, probe, or circumvent the security or operation of the Platform;
• use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorised purpose.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected breach of these Terms.

Crew is a platform that lets creative professionals present themselves and connect with others. We are an intermediary. We do not verify the identity, credentials, credits, availability, quality, conduct, or statements of any user, and we make no representation about them.

Any interaction, communication, engagement, negotiation, hiring, collaboration, payment, or other dealing between users is solely between those users and at their own risk. Crew is not a party to it, does not supervise it, and is not responsible or liable for it, including for any non-performance, misconduct, loss, dispute, or non-payment. You are responsible for your own due diligence.

The Platform may award Standing (reputation), Credits, badges, tiers, and similar features. These are virtual, promotional, and have no monetary value. They are not property, currency, or a financial instrument, are not redeemable or exchangeable for money, and are not transferable except as we may expressly allow. We may create, modify, devalue, recalculate, expire, or remove them at any time, at our sole discretion, without notice or compensation.

From time to time we may run promotional offers, including a founding offer of free access for an early cohort of members. Such offers are subject to availability, are granted at our discretion, and may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time. "Free for as long as the site is live" means the offer continues only while we choose to operate the Platform; we are under no obligation to continue operating it, and the offer ends if the Platform is discontinued. The offer is personal, non-transferable, and may exclude paid add-ons introduced later.

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks (but excluding User Content), is owned by Crew or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Platform will meet your requirements, that any results, connections, or hires will be obtained, or that content (including profiles and credits) is accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crew and its founders, directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform or any dealing with another user, whether based in contract, tort, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or INR 1,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crew and its founders, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Platform, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including content licences for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) survive.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Where permitted, disputes may be referred to arbitration seated in Mumbai under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in English by a sole arbitrator appointed by us.
